Excellent scenery & buildings I'd like to have for my Mordheim games

Av Per postad i Mordheim | 8 januari, 2010 | 8 kommentarer

After searching a lot around the web for buildings I think my conclusion must be that there are more cool stuff available to buy than I have money or room for. Anyway, I've put together a list of the models I like a lot, sorted by each manufacturer.

Tabletop World

A company started by two friends from Croatia who since 2007 creates highly realistic buildings in resin. They make their stone walls stone by stone, just like they did in medieval times, to get them to look as close to real life as possible.

I actually want to have all of their products, but if I have to choose I will buy them in this order:

Ruined Coaching Inn, 95€

Merchant's House, 37€

Medieval Inn, 45€

Blacksmith's Forge, 60€

Town Square, 20€

CT-Scenery

A company based in Belgium that makes scenery and buildings. They make them of G-Super or Gellisuper, which is equal to resin in terms of solidity and detail and 15 times more dense than high quality molding plaster. Whatever that means…

I would really like a bunch of their houses because they are all playable on all levels which would be excellent for Mordheim.

Ruined Tower Wall, 35€

The inside is sculpted and playable on ground level, first and second floor.

Inn, 45€

The inside is sculpted and playable on ground level, first and second floor.

One-storey House, 22,50€

The inside is sculpted and playable on ground level and first floor.

Two-storey House, 32,50€

The inside is sculpted and playable on ground level, first and second floor.

Fantasy Village Set

CT-Scenery has a nice set with 2x one-storey house, 1x two-storey house, 1x Inn and 1x fantasy accessories(don't know what this is) for 115€.

Pirates?

They have a couple of preview images of an upcoming project they call Pirates. The good news is that the house looks sweet. The bad news is that the latest news is from 28th of May. So one can only wonder when it will be released.

Resina Planet

A company from Zaragoza in Spain who makes resin models with good price/quality ratio. Don't know so much more about them because their site is in Spanish only.

I'm interested in four of their models:

Casa Humilde, 15€

Morada del Gobernador, 50€

Taberna del León, 20€

Morada Abandonada, 35€

Forge World

A part of Games Workshop and based in Nottingham, England. They have their own design, manufacturing, shipping, sales and so on, so I guess in that sense they are a completely different company than GW.

All their models are resin models and their website looks like it's been made 20 years ago.

Warhammer Well, 14£

Warhammer Bloomery, 10£

Warhammer Coaching Inn, 90£

Warhammer Cottage, 17£

Warhammer Wooden Bridge, 32£

Warhammer Forge and Warhammer Stable

I can only find these if I follow linkes from other sites. Maybe they´re out of production?

Conclusion

This is by far the most work I ever put into a blog post. And this Mordheim project will be crazy expensive! ;)

@cianty Excellent reference page, thanks for the tip. The Stronghold stuff looks good and seem to have reasonable prices.

Have you seen the news from Tabletop World

Expect new and improved buildings very soon! They will be fully modeled, with interior, lots of furniture and details! Also, we are currently making new molds for our old models. The new kits will be much easier to assemble and work with.

…with interior… sounds perfect for Mordheim!

Maybe you find it useful. I too am going to get me some ‘Tabletop World’ goodness very soon. ‘Stronghold Terrain’ is also nice: http://www.stronghold-terrain.de/index.html

Nice blog, by the way. I really like it!

Too bad the time period for the house is 1750-1900. A nice Perry Fantasy/Medieval house would've been nice :)

The barrels for 2£ looks sweet and the fences could be useful.

Antenociti's components for buildings looks excellent and have nice prices. Let's order soon! :)

Thanks for the link to the rulebook, I thought you had told me before that it was free online but I couldn't find it last time I checked.

You think we should keep the floodgates closed for now Mr I-like-my-floodgates-open? ;)

But I agree, we should finish painting the stuff we already have. And let‘s play a game when I’ve bought my ikea tabletops and the static grass has arrived so the gameboard can be completed.

I could start setting a gang together but I need the rulebook…

they are all great models and it would be great to see some of hem on the tabletop one day. we should complete the ones we've got going and THEN buy one and paint. instead of the usual opening of the floodgates and drowning ourselves in resin, plastic and metal.

maybe we should try to get a game in too?

Please comment if you have any tip about other companies making high quality scenery or buildings that I might have missed.
