The Ruined Coaching Inn from Tabletop World arrived and it's amazing

Av Per postad i Unboxing | 27 april, 2010 | 7 kommentarer

I was about to send an e-mail to Tabletop World and ask them if my Ruined Coaching Inn was on it's way or if it had been devoured by the Icelandic ashes. But to my surprise, a note in my mail later that day said it was delivered to my post office so I picked it up immediately.

Tabletop World deliver what they promise

The initial reactions were …

— My god this looks amazing, fantastic, awesome, great, wooohaaa!

The secondary reactions came later …

— This will take forever to paint!

But I can't blame Tabletop World for making a detailed piece of scenery. I think it will be a pleasure to assemble and paint. I'll add a few lowres pictures from my iPhone so you can see the amount of stuff that was in the box.

Thanks for the instructions. Next step for the coaching inn, a nice warm bath.

Totte is right. :)
Resin kits must be washed before painting because of the release agent (as Totte explained).
Please check out the instructions page on our website for full info on how to prepare and paint resin kits.
Cheers!

resin models are cast using a fatty mold release agent that can cause paint to flake if not cleaned beforehand. so, lukewarm water and soap, super glue when glueing and be careful if you sand them as powdrered resin is rather bad for you:)

you can tell lia that it isn´t a doll-house if the dolls try to kill each other! we don´t have anything to be ashamed of.
the good old 1:35th scale project even is in the same scale as the classic doll-house:)

Nice to see that you found your way to my blog, I hope you will enjoy it and I really hope I can make my ruined coaching inn look half as good as the one you have on your site :)

A question, totte told me to wash the plastic with water and soap before assembly. Is that necessary?

@totte The furnitures are fun. And Lia looked at my funny, we are getting close to playing with dollhouses ;)

And why do you think it's necessary to wash with water and soap?
